Jennifer Gould is a journalist and author whose reporting has taken her from the boardrooms and townhouses of New York City to the front lines of the former Soviet Union. A graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, she spent over two decades at the New York Post, where she wrote the columns Gimme Shelter (celebrity and high-end real estate) and Side Dish (the city's restaurant and hospitality scene).

Earlier in her career, Gould reported from war-torn regions including Chechnya, ex-Soviet Georgia, the Balkans, Libya, and Mongolia, and broke stories from New York on sexism and peacekeeping-related atrocities at the United Nations. Her past newsrooms include the Village Voice, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Moscow Times, and the Toronto Star.

Today her work also appears in Air Mail, where she writes the column "The View from Here" on global corruption and the world's elite, and in Vanity Fair. She is the author of Vodka, Tears, and Lenin's Angel: My Adventures in the Wild and Woolly Former Soviet Union, and has a new book underway.
